A protective film can also be to give the floor a chance, although curtains are effective enough to offer sufficient protection.  <\/span><\/p><h4><br><span style=\"color: #320000;\"><strong>Can all wood floors be sanded and varnished?  <\/strong><\/span><\/h4><p><span style=\"color: #320000;\">Hardwood flooring is not the only wood floor covering that can be sanded. Some engineered wood floors can also be sanded if they are thick enough.  However, engineered flooring can only be sanded once, whereas hardwood can be restored up to 3-4 times without any problem.  <\/span><br><br><\/p><h4><span style=\"color: #320000;\"><strong>Can floating wood floors be sanded and restored?<\/strong><\/span><\/h4><p><span style=\"color: #320000;\">No!
